Remove the 3 enties in the [mozilla]/chrome/installed-chrome.txt
content,install,url,jar:resource:/chrome/filemanager.jar!/content/
skin,install,url,jar:resource:/chrome/filemanager.jar!/skin/
locale,install,url,jar:resource:/chrome/filemanager.jar!/locale/
- Delete the file [mozilla]/chrome/chrome.rdf and the directory [mozilla]/chrome/overlayinfo.
They will be recreated by Mozilla at startup from the updated installed-chrome.txt
- Delete the [mozilla]/chrome/filemanager.jar
Guide: Version number
The version number shoud be read like this:
release . milestone . layout/API change . bugfix
When a new download is availeble where:
- bugfixes has been made this number is incremented
- layout/API changes has been made this number is incremented. Everytime this number is altered bugfix is set to 0
- we hit a new milestone this number is incremented. Everytime this number is altered layout/API changes is set to 0
- we hit a new release this number is incremented. Everytime this number is altered milestone is set to 0
Guide: Starting the filemanager
After you have restarted Mozilla a folder icon will be displayed in the lower left taskbar and an additional menuitem in Mozilla's in Window-menu.
You can also start it from a command line:
mozilla -chrome chrome://filemanager/content
Guide: Navigation in filemanager
There are several ways to navigate the filemanager:
- Mouse clicking
- Keaybord navigation (yet to come)
- Mouse gestures (a whis ;o) )
Apart from this there will be many keyboard-shortcuts to access different things fast.
